A dental implant is a process of replacement of tooth; a fitting new tooth that people lost is an accident or due to some illness or disease. Types of Implant

Subperiosteal implants — it is a metal frame fitted onto the jawbones below the gum tissues. When gums heal, the frame was fitted to the jaw. Later on, the post is attached to the frame stick out to the gum on which artificial tooth is mounted.

  • Follow eat and drink chart for your dental health. Avoid hot drink and food until local anesthetic is worn off. Try not to disturb the implant area with tongue and finger or avoid heavy exercise.
  • In case of any swelling and bruising in treatment—apply ice pack because it is normal after treatment. In case, the pain and swelling are still there, you must consult your dental expert because it might result in infection.
  • If you have been given a course of antibiotics to take after your surgery, please ensure that you complete the course.

Cleaning mouth is the necessary step after treatment. Keeping the mouth clean as much as possible will make the surgery successful. Here are simple tips to keep your teeth as well as dental implant clean after surgery. Brush your teeth regularly and start on the day of surgery but avoid the surgical site. Take hot-salted mouthwash for the first week of treatment for better healing.
